An independent coffee shop and all-day brunch spot on Leith Walk. We opened because this neighbourhood needed somewhere to slow down.

We opened The Remedy because Leith needed somewhere to slow down. A place for long coffees, unhurried plates, and the kind of conversation that makes you forget what time it is.
"Everything here has been chosen with care: the light, the seats, the music turned just low enough."
Independently owned and intending to stay that way. Every decision made by people who eat here, who live nearby, who care what this street looks like in ten years. We bake our own pastries, we know our suppliers, and we pour oat milk without sighing.
The menu travels a little. Turkish eggs, Middle Eastern mezze, North African spice. But it always lands back in Edinburgh. Bring the dog. Stay for hours. We genuinely don't mind.

No investors, no franchises, no group behind the curtain. Every decision is made by the people who work here and care about what we put on the plate.
Single-origin beans from roasters we trust. Produce from suppliers we know by name. Pastries made in-house each morning. No shortcuts, no apologies.
A two-hour coffee is as welcome as a quick flat white. We'll never hover. The table is yours for as long as you need it. That's the whole point of this place.
